If video is more your style, the media player also supports DivX videos, and you can access Verizon’s V Cast Videos service, which lets you watch a wide variety of programming, from full episodes of your favorite television shows to sporting events and more. Also, reiterating its status as a Windows Mobile 6.5 phone, the Omnia II gives you the opportunity to access the Windows Marketplace for Mobile to find even more ways to entertain yourself with its large catalog of apps available for download.
More apps are also available for download to the smartphone from the Samsung Widget Store if the Windows Marketplace does not satisfy your needs.
The feature set does not stop at entertainment, with the final notable selling point being the Omnia II’s 5-megapixel camera that not only takes quality pictures, but records video as well. The camera comes complete with flash and digital zoom, and lets you snap photos in six different shooting modes, six different color effects, and a variety of other options.
Various video recording options are available, too. You can either record long videos to store on the phone or short clips to send via multimedia messaging. You can share your artistic work with others when finished, by messaging, email, or even uploading your files to social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook.
