Toshiba Portege R705-P35 The Excellence Mini Portable Notebook
Toshiba Portege R705-P35 is a great brand netbook which is ultraportable with 13.3 inch screen display. It is not only portable but also light enough to bring. Although its appearance is little cute but don’t hesitate its performance, being completed with a high processor Intel Core i3 2.4 GHz and 4 GB RAM makes this Toshiba Portege excellent in running many programs fast without any trouble. It is also supported by a big hard drive 500GB to keep the memory powerful. The software of Operating System included is Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition.
This Toshiba Portege R705-P35 notebook product is friendly environmental and designed by considering its sustainability based on Greenpeace policy rating. Most customers like it and give such a good recommendation to use it. But, there’s no something perfect. Beside those excellences, Toshiba Portege in this type still has a lack of comfort in the keyboard. Its keyboard’s style is not good enough. It seems too cheap for a computer in this price. The keys are smooth to touch and so soft to press, even the Space Bar is bad. The touchpad should be fine tuned and the default settings for sensitivity and multi touch features are uncomfortable make the customers a little bit disappointed.
The other important consideration goes to the battery life. Although it advertised that Toshiba Portege has 8-9 hour battery time in fact, it gets around four and a half hour when it is used for heavy tasks and running some programs at once. It is quite difficult to spend a longer day with this limited battery life, although we attempted to set the computer on low screen brightness in the “eco-mode” power setting.
The last important note, this computer is good enough if the keyboard is more comfortable and the battery life stands longer. The high price should represent high quality product, right? So, you have to review and consider other products of Macbook and Mac Pro if you have extra money.
The Toshiba Portege R705-P35 is not unique in its design or color choice, though it is an attractive laptop. This ultraportable is all about what you can’t see, until you pick it up. The Toshiba Portege looks like a your everyday ultraportable, but it weighs a mere 3.1 pounds. To compare, it beat out the old MacBook Air (3.4 pounds) as the lighter laptop.
